It is not everything that took place in their meetings. The Story Behind Barmantics

In Paulina Bandy's own words...

My mother and husband stood beside me through law school, the bar exam, and trailblazing in a bar review industry. They believed in me, cheered for my bar candidates, and celebrated each success. They witnessed the triumphs of my scholars and the gratitude of their families.

In 2022, at the peak of my bar prep teaching career, I stepped away. My mom's health was failing, and I wanted to capture the time we had together. I would not compromise giving 110% to my candidates, and there weren't enough hours in the day. My mom, the woman who first taught me what true support looks like, needed me. I closed my business doors to care for her, and I didn't look back. I lost my mom in 2025.

After I left tutoring, I did not plan on returning. I was now exhausted and ill. My home office wing was closed. Over two decades of my work was stored away, not helping anyone. It was tough because I knew so many still needed it. I couldn't simply sell it as-is; it had been written for my candidates, built around my lessons, shaped by our sessions together.

But every time I heard the bar prep industry making the same empty promises, it was disheartening. The same hollow guarantees. The same repeaters left behind.

So I decided to tell all repeaters what my candidates and I accomplished and how we did it, so they could help themselves. I share this progress in GOT THEM TO PASS: Here, Candor and Conformity.

My return to my passion honors my mother's memory and every person who has ever sacrificed quietly for someone they love.

My husband, a fellow educator and steadfast supporter of bar exam repeaters, is the original inspiration for Barmantics' bar exam supporter inclusion.
